The quality and wide-angle make it ideal. When I try to use the charging cord it seems to prevent me from recording. I am therefore limited to the life of a single battery.
The hero 7 Black battery life just got shittier because of more power used by more ram. You’re losing about 20 minutes of battery life when comparing a hero 7 black 4K @ 60fpshero vs a hero 6 Black at the same resolution and frame rate. I recently noticed that my GoPro Hero 7 Black has a problem. It doesn't turn on when I install the battery, yet it turns on and displays the message "no battery" while simultaneously heating up when I attach electricity. The GoPro remains dead unless I attach it to a power source, even though I have charged and changed the battery.

In case of GoPro Hero 7 Silver and white, the battery is inbuilt, which means it can’t be removed. A simple workaround for White and Silver users is to keep the camera under charge while filming. GoPro Hero7 Silver battery lasts up to 106 – 146 minutes. GoPro Hero 7 White battery lasts up to 107-146 minutes.

So, as others have pointed out, it's a known issue with gopro. And believe you me that my hero 3 black had probably even worse battery life, at 45 minutes!. Anyway, what I can say is that this made me a better cameraman, and forced me to plan my shots and film in short intervals of no more than 1 minute at a time for the most part (this works fine for my hobbies).
