People have posted about BCM (Body Control Module) problems that have caused headlight issues. There's an earth lead for the BCM in the front wheel well that some have found loose. I have just fitted Ring Premium LED bulbs (RW501CBLED 12v W5W 501 LED) to sidelights of Ford Ka 1.2 2001 as wanted to increase visibility of daylight running lights (sidelights). My March 2012 reg, 11,000 miles Tit X 'misbehaved' with an erronious warning about a failed headlight bulb on only one occasion since when all has been well. It has to be said that the warning coincided with a (correct) message saying that the tailgate was open and I'm wondering if this has something to do with the peculiarities of the CAN-BUS
