I don’t think you understand what a 24-105 f/4 is; it’s a decent lens at just about everything, and exceptional at none. This is true for modern 24-105s from all the manufacturers. The RF 24-105 has proven to be equal to, or superior to the EF version. The RF 24-105 compares favorably to the next commonly highly regarded 24-105 f/4, the Sony. The RF lens lineup was full of incredible high-end models, but those looking for a compact, lightweight, economical RF mount general-purpose zoom lens were forced to adapt a lens such as the Canon EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM Lens. The kit zoom is great - better than the EF 24-105 L. Adapted Canon glass works perfectly. Touch screen controls (ie, AF) are super fast - no lag. Jpegs sooc look great. I havent had time to mess with the Raw files in Lightroom, so not sure about dynamic range, etc. Been shooting some 4K with an adapted Canon EF 24mm (2.8 IS) and it really looks

The much older EF 24-105 seems to have decent image quality, 4-stop IS and seems pretty decent value (408 euro new or ~300 used). I have the EF-RF adaptor in any case.
