The world’s most valuable album cover has been declared by an adapted version of The Beatles’ ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ record sleeve. The modified artwork, which features music executives rather than The Beatles themselves, was valued at around £70,000.
The drum head which featured on the cover of The Beatles’ album Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band sold for £541,250 ($1.07m); nearly four times the estimated price, at a Christie’s Rock and Pop auction in London.
